The great thing about Social Media is that you not only get to connect to your audience… but that you STAY connected with your audience.
I’ve been studying social media a lot lately, and the different things people do with their audience and growing themselves as a brand.
Today I ordered the mStand from Rain Design. While ordering online is nothing new, I was pleased with what happened directly AFTER my purchase:
If I would like to stay connected with them on Facebook? Well, I never really thought about it, but it did help build brand awareness for me towards their company.
This is an important pitch because these companies aren’t spamming their audience. It’s not spam if the user is engaged and invested in the product or service. In fact, the best time to make a pitch is when they customer invested in the product or service. Think of how when you’re at a concert. You would NEVER buys a shirt for $40 – but when you’re at the concert, then its OK, because you’re there in support, and impulse buys are all the rage at shows ;)
So pay attention to what’s happening, and how companies are using the internet to help grow their presence. You are a company, a brand, too – and so you should be applying these to your own marketing.
