My Revision 3 Beta Show Launched Today!

Ok so it’s official. My Revision 3 Music Show launched today about 20 minutes ago. Revision 3 Beta is a site that is like an introductory site for content producers that have been seen and hand-picked by Revision 3. Below is the video.

Please VOTE with your eyeballs! The more views I get, then that shows Revision 3 the success of the show! Retweet it and Re-Blog it Please!

Some may be wondering about the different layout. Well, the videos are hosted by Viddler instead of Bit Gravity. Also, the community is different. The shows picked here are Bottles Blends and Brews, Hack College, Minx Mandate, The Slice, That’s Awesome, What Should You Know.

The Shows on the main site are Epic FU, Diggnation, Wine Library TV, XLR8R TV, Internet Superstar, iFanboy, PopSiren, Tekzilla, Totally Rad Show, and more!

Thanks guys for Everything – YOU RAWK!:)

“Slow down a bit and please take that music out of the background. It is very confusing and makes it hard to
    hear what you are saying.”
This would be my advice to you and your show. Thank you very much for providing us with such great teaching.
I really appreciate it. I just think with so much going on in the background that it takes away from your actual
    teaching ability.

I have been thinking to start playing keyboard for a number of years but just never got round to it. In fact it will be the first time I’ve ever tried to play a musical instrument, which is sad as I am 54 and love all kinds of music. After seeing your videos it really put my mind set in a positive mode. Looking forward to see all your videos. Any tips you have would be much appreciated

I am 36 and all my childhood and adult years, I’ve been wanting to learn how to play keyboards or guitar. I joined a couple of music schools during my college days, but the teachers were lousy. After years of putting this want on the backburner, I finally decided that 2011 will be the year where I learn to play the keyboards. I got the keyboards today and was feeling rather lost about where to start. And I googled into your youtube video. I’ve never thought it could be so much fun. For the first time in my life, I really understood what C flat and C # really is! God bless you my friend.

    • http://www.fororchestra.com WaltRibeiro

So cool! Just remember: C Flat is the same as saying B Natural – because they’re enharmonics (the same note)

  • Meghna Balakumar

    Hi Walt
My name is Meghna and I’ve been playing the piano for probably 9 years now. For this entire time period I’ve been playing by ear without my teacher knowing until last year when she through a piece of sheet music in my face and expected me to play it without hearing her play it first. I had absolutely no idea what to do.

The problem is, is that when i do try to read music, for firsts i go extremely slow and literally have to spell out like “FACE” or “EGBDF”. And once i finally figure out what each note is and play it to myself once, I never look back at it again because I already have it memorized in my head. As a result, I dont get much practice reading notes and it takes me a really long time to figure out one line of a piece.

I dont know if you have any idea what I mean but basically, I want to try out for my school jazz band and as a result i need to figure out how to read notes. I was wondering if you can give me some tips on how to read without cheating myself and letting the sound already register in my head. (if that makes any sense)

Thank you so much and I hope you can help me,
    Meghna

    • http://www.fororchestra.com WaltRibeiro

you’re doing everything perfect. i remember it took me 10 minutes to read one line of music. but you’ll get it. give it some time, a few months. do it everyday. everyone goes through the “painful and boring” beginning phase :)

Hi, your site has me lost, so I’m just going to post my question. I’m Snoopi Botten, dectalk@aol.com and I have Cerebral Palsy. I’m in a wheelchair, I can’t talk, sing, or play an instrument. BUT, I program speech software to sing. I then find music to put behind my vocals. Well, it sounds like vocals, but it’s only computer generated sounds that I make sound like singing.

Any other singer can just go to the Harry Fox Agency and pay the mechanical royalties to record a song. I’m told by Harry Fox that I can’t because I don’t sing with my own voice. So I just do stuff illegally because I have no other choice.

I um, just grabbed your version of “BORN THIS WAY” and mixed it in with my vocals. It sounds really cool! I wanted to ask if I could do it live with your orchestra somewhere? I change some of the words because I wanted to inspire the disabled community.

Also, can I please use your version as a backup track on my next CD? I’m forever trying to get permission to use stuff because I’m trying hard to get on the radio. All I ever hear is “No”. It breaks my heart because I love music and badly need a break. This is just crazy because I’m the best in the world at what I do, yet I can’t legally do music. Please help me. Here is a sample of what I can do. The vocal levels might not be perfect. http://pastorsnoopi.twigs76.com/songs/BORN%20THIS%20WAY%202.mp3

    • http://www.fororchestra.com WaltRibeiro

      Hi Snoopi!

Regarding your performance with my orchestra – I don’t have any singers with my music, sorry.

Also, it’s my understanding that if you were going to perform the song at a bar, then you don’t need permission. It’s the bar’s job to get the performance license – not yours – from the respective PRO (ASCAP, BMI, SESAC)

Hey Walt, I have been interested in learning to read music for a while. I can sing but I can’t read music. My mom said if I showed her I was devoted to music and learned how to read music, she would help me out with voice/piano lessons. Do you have any tips while learning that would help me? If you do I’d really appreciate it! :) thanks, kaitlyn.

    • Kaitlyn

Also, do you have any singing excercises that could help me?
