Slash Chords Explained! (C/D, etc.)

Slash Chords are the idea of indicating a bass line on a chord. To tell someone to play a C Major chord is fine, but what if you wanted the note ‘G’ to be the bottom note?

You would simply tell them to play C/G instead of simply C. The result is that the chord would be played as (G-E-C instead of C-E-G)
