7th Chords FAQ
I get asked a lot about 7th Chords. This video below answers all the the most common ones.
7th chords are used alot in Jazz Chords. But they are also used alot in Pop Music, too! Michael Jackson’s Thriller uses 7th, 9th, and 13th chords all the time.
The idea of Seventh Chords (or 7th Chords) is to add the 7th note of the chord’s tonic to itself. So my Cmaj chord becomes a Cmaj7. The Fmaj chord becomes an Fmaj7, the Aminor chord becomes an Aminor7 chord.
